Bullied was featured on Amazon as a 2020 Editors’ Pick for Best Nonfiction.

Bullied has received a National Parenting Publication Award and a Mom’s Choice Award, both at the gold medal level, for excellence in educational skills and tools. Carrie Goldman and actress Chase Masterson created the Pop Culture Hero Coalition to bring together top bullying prevention groups and celebrities to advocate for change. Carrie is the Director of the Heroic Journey Curriculum, a social emotional learning program for students that is being piloted in YMCAs across the country.

Carrie has written for The New York Times, Washington Post, CNN, Psychology Today, Huffington Post, Brain Child Magazine, Motherwell Magazine, Adoption.net, Babble, Alternet, and more. She has made appearances on NPR, BBC, MSNBC, CNN Headline News, Fox, HLN, HuffPost Live and Mondays with Marlo, along with countless other media outlets. In addition to her expertise in bullying dynamics, Carrie writes one of the nation’s premier adoption blogs, Portrait of an Adoption, which has followers in more than 45 countries. Her acclaimed new children’s book, Jazzy’s Quest: Adopted and Amazing, came out in June of 2015.

carrie-goldman-and-winnShe travels around the country giving keynote addresses and running workshops for companies, universities, schools and community groups about issues such as relational aggression and social conflict; digital citizenship; restorative justice; the sexualization of girls and women; the cultural effects of gender-based marketing; ethical adoption; raising adopted children, and the changing nature of adoption.

Carrie received her B.S. from Northwestern University and her M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management. She is also an award-winning artist, and her oil paintings have been featured in galleries and juried shows across the country. She lives in Illinois with her husband, three young daughters, and her dog, where they all enjoy reading, gardening, eating chocolate, and playing outside as a family.
